Wednesday: July 7

Wednesday’s tiyul presented an astounding array of options, with a grand finale never before seen in the annals of NCSY Kollel. For some, the day (or night) began with an early departure towards daybreak atop Masada. From there it was on to Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea. For others, it was paintball with an extra dimension of military strategy and training. There were options of visiting Kever Rochel and a hike through the Judean Hills and Nachal Sorek.

Later, it was World Cup fever, NCSY Kollel style. We ran our own soccer (or futbol) tournament at Kraft Stadium and other top flight Jerusalem soccer fields. Then it was all-you-can-eat Schwarma in the park and on to a special screening of the “real” world cup on a pool side big screen projector TV.
